Internet: Can you Speak the Language?

Ben and Jake like cookies. Thier parents said before the eat thier cookies they have to get online and download some songs on itunes. They were browsing the net for the right place to download songs. They put an Anti-Virus on the computer just in case they went o the wrong site. Ben got side tracked and got on facebook (a blog). Afterward they were searching for the right website to get the music off of. When they found the right one they had too refesh the web page. The hyperlink was http://www.frostwire.com/ also it was its Domain Name. But when they looked at it closely it was a phishing. When they started downloading and something popped up, it was a Trojan Horse.

Internet Safety!

Ask your parents what websites are appropriate for you, because some websites put viruses on your computer. For example playing on addictinggames.com give your computer a virus. Keep your passwords and usernames secert and change them regularly. It keeps people from finding it out, like sharing it too friends your not suppose to do that. Never assume someone is who they say they are, because they may lie to you so you can think that they are your friend. Never give out your phone number or address, people can track you down that way. NEVER agree to meet up with someone online with out talking to their parents first, because James did and now he is missing. Do not respond to mean or threatening emails, because the people you responde to mite get really angery and track you down. Never keep anthing that bad happened on the computer to yourself, because it mite effect you in the future. Also never give out personal info. such as your name, what you are doing, how old you are, none of that. That causes more people to know you more and you dont know them. Never write someone that as made you feel uncomfortable or scare, because they mite be a pediphile. Finally tell your parents as soon as something that someone sent you something that makes you feel uncomfortable, because they can resolve it alot quicker then you can.

Where Does The Time Go?

My time is mostly spent on me playing basketball. I go to the gym every other day for about 4-5 hours to practice. Basketball is my favorite sport and I put all my time in to it. I probably spend about 20-30 hours a week practicing and playing basketball. So it's kind of hard trying to get my school work done and play basketball at the same time.

Ergonomics At Work

Ergonomics is having a healty work station or a work place set up. We care about ergonomics, because of computer injuries and alot of money is being spent on comp. The best position for your chair is having a slight slouch in it and your feet should be rested on the flour. The best position for your keyboard is what they call a Negative Slope or just having your keyboard at desk level. Also your wrist should be straight. The best position for your mouse is having it right next to your keyboard. The best position for your monitor is having it as far away from you as possible, but close enough for you to read what's on it. Lighting is important because it causes eye and back strains and headaches. We need to include movement and our activity in our overall ergonomics, because you need to move so when you stay still for a long time you will not get any strains.
